  • Marrickville Infrastructure Jury

    What level of infrastructure quality do we want to pay for in Marrickville? What are our local priorities for investment?

    Three thousand invitations sent to random households in the local area will result in a Marrickville Infrastructure Jury of 32 people representative of Marrickville's diverse community who will deliberate over these questions.  Read more.

  • Newtown Playground Upgrades

    Marrickville Council is upgrading four playgrounds within Newtown.  These include Alice Street playground, Matt Hogan Reserve playground, Darley Street playground and Norton Russell playground.

  • Alice Lane rain garden

    Alice Lane is getting a make over.  A new rain garden will be built at the Pearl Street end of Alice Lane to filter stormwater before it flows to the Cooks River.  You can find out more and get involved here.

  • Proposed naming for a lane in Newtown

    Have your say about a name for an unamed lane in Newtown located between 90 and 92 Station Street and at the rear of properties from 90 to 100 Station Street. Council is proposing to call it 'Gentle Lane'. Read more here.

  • Pedestrian safety on West Street, Lewisham

    Improving safety at the pedestrian crossing in West Street is a community priority. In response to this Council proposes to construct kerb blister islands and to reseal the road. Read more here
