The Marrickville community has told us that it wants a better local environment, particularly the Cooks River and its foreshores. To do this, Marrickville Council has prepared the Draft Marrickville Strategy for a Water Sensitive Community and wants your feedback.

The draft strategy has come about through working closely with people and businesses in the Marrickville  area over the last seven years on sustainable water management projects. 

Council invites you to tell us what you think about the strategy. This is the final chance to comment before the draft strategy is adopted and will direct the way we work in the future. To do this:

• Check the FAQs to find out why the strategy has been developed and when it will be implemented.
• Check out the key links to other relevant sites
• Take your time to read the strategy in the library.
• Add your thoughts, comments and ideas to the discussion forum on the strategy.

   

Submissions must be received by 5.00pm on Monday 19 November, 2012.

You can also give feedback or ask questions about the draft Water Strategy by contacting Council's Coordinator Water and Catchments on 9335 2104 or envuswim@marrickville.nsw.gov.au or complete an online submission form.
